About Snuky's Place

Snuky’s Place, a Community Aftercare Program soon to open in Teaneck, New Jersey is a Non-Profit Corporation incorporated by the laws of the State of New Jersey, County of Bergen that will be providing a full-service community aftercare program to help educate children ages three to five.  Snuky’s Place will be concentrating on the children of parents who work outside of normal business hours, such as weekends, holidays and evenings.

Snuky’s Place is cutting edge in terms of child development and education. Snuky’s Place’s program, coupled with a custom designed facility and availability of high definition video webcam feeds so parents (using a unique username and password) have the opportunity of monitoring their children learn while at work.  These amenities will ensure top shelf service with a low provider/child ratio.

The Community Aftercare Program will also help bring in jobs and stability, by providing employment opportunities to the residents in Teaneck that are having a hard time finding jobs during normal business hours, or are looking for additional income to make ends meet.

Snuky's Place will offer an upper-end community aftercare program for toddlers ages three to five. Snuky's Place offers a low teacher to student ratio, custom facilities, and innovative learning programs. Snuky's Place's hours will be a bit wider in range than normal business hours to accommodate working parents.

Snuky’s Place is not a babysitting facility, it’s an innovative solution to help children broaden their skills during the day. The children are engaged throughout the day, learning new skills and reinforcing ones already acquired.  Also, provided in the Snuky’s Place Community Aftercare Program will be Kosher and Non-Kosher Foods, Snacks and DrinksBirthday Parties, Art & Craft Supplies, Reading and Writing Materials, Computer Lab, Guest Speakers/Entertainment, Nature Walks/Trips and more.

Additionally, a Stipend Program will be set up offering to High School Students who attend public and private schools in the community.  This program best fits students that are looking to earn extra credits towards their community service, while at the same time allowing them to earn personal income.

Our facility can only be as good as the childcare providers, assistants and volunteers. With this in mind, Snuky's Place has a specialized training program that all childcare providers and assistants are required to complete so they are proficient at leading the specific programs that Snuky's Place has developed for toddlers age three to five. All participants will attend an intensive week long course, and only after they successfully complete the intensive training will they be allowed to work with the children.

Unlike the typical day care center, the Snuky’s Place curriculum will prepare toddlers for their elementary school years.  Snuky’s Place will have the setting of a real classroom and children are treated as professional students and will have a formal graduation subsequent to their successful completion of the curriculum.

Genesis and Kathy Licari have firsthand experience on raising children, and keeping non-standard work hours.  They believes children age three to five are in one of the most important stages in their development and education, and for that reason have developed a curriculum that’s not only fun, but gives children the opportunity to show off their special talents in reading, writing, and more.  What makes Snuky's Place different is that the facility will be set up in preparation for children’s elementary school years.

Genesis and Kathy loves children and have always been concerned with a child's safety and education, and looks forward to providing quality service for both the children and parents.

Snuky's place will be marketed and advertised throughout the community using flyers, brochures, email blasts, website visibility and word of mouth.  Snuky’s Place will also be reaching out to local and private schools to introduce them to our new program for children which will be available outside of normal business/school hours.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, Snuky’s Place will raise funds via sponsors, contributors and investors to help us open this fabulous and new endeavor for the Teaneck Community.  Another method that Snuky’s Place will use to raise funds is to apply for governmental and local grants.
